From Stephanie Gailing:
The New Moon on October 17 provides us with a great opportunity to connect with the energy of Libra. In addition to the Sun and Moon being in the sign of the Scales so are Mercury and Venus. I find the timing of this concentration of Libran energy to be very elegant, given that Saturn--just twelve days later--will be entering this sign for the beginning of its several year transit.
Here are some ways to use Libran virtues--and watch out for Libran vulnerabilities--to benefit your health and wellness.
Revere relationships
Libra gains great pleasure from one-on-one relationships, through which it can learn valuable personal insights. If you've wanted to lose weight, start a new exercise regimen, or take a healthy cooking class, ask your friend or partner to join you. Doing so will make it more fun, which can only but enhance your desire for sticking with your wellness goals.
art
Libra appreciates beauty and harmony. If you're looking for motivation to adopt a new health habit, infuse art into the experience. Buy a pretty tea cup and infuser to inspire yourself to have an afternoon cup of green or herbal tea rather than another cup of coffee. Or, adorn your dining table with candles, cloth napkins, and fresh flowers, enhancing your enjoyment of your meals and the nourishment that they deliver.
Be deliberately deliberate
Libra likes to weigh and measure, taking in all sides of an argument before making a decision. While this may lead to action that is thoughtful, it's important to take care that it doesn't yield indecision and
procrastination, including when it comes to embarking on a diet or exercise regimen. Instead of waiting for the "exact" solution to appear, choose a place to start, remembering that you can always readjust your approach later on.
Please yourself
Libra aims to keep the peace and appear graceful. While concern for maintaining rapport is laudable, be careful if it gets in the way of meeting your own needs. For example, if at a dinner party everyone is
celebrating with cocktails and dessert and you realize that these choices wouldn't best serve you, use your social graces to politely say "no." Remember, even if you perceive that it will upset the group balance,
what's of higher priority is to have the inner balance of your own health and well-being flourish.
